It seems that the union is willing to take concessions so I wonder what the problem is at the home. Why is it losing so much money? So, why can’t the county run it the same as a private business and at least make it acceptable as far as it’s loses. It seems our politicians are at fault for not fixing this much sooner than this. What are they doing for their money?

From anything I've seen in the past, if Tranum is in favor of something, it's a good indicator that it's a bad idea. And are Tranum's opinions simply his own, or are they actually the official opinion of the organizations he represents?

Tranum's Data Backs Rothner Purchase. Why are we to believe that he's telling the truth.

Taxpayer2 Pleeessse! This is not in depth research and Mr. Tranum is not an expert on any issue. He's just another person with a point of view.I have seen research and videos on both sides of the issue. I don't one way or another what the final vote is. I trust our Reps to make the right decision. It should be done quickly we need to move on to bigger issues.

Are all those listed under Rothner's business or just the first one? If not, it looks skewed. Just wondering.

Mr. Tranum, Thanks again for the research that you've done in regards to William Rothner. Have the County Legislators done any of this research or read your articles. I think not! THE COUNTY LEGISLATURE MUST ACT RESPONSIBLY AND SELL THE COUNTY HOME. I DON'T KNOW IF THEY"RE CAPABLE OF DOING THE RIGHT THING. As a taxpayer, this issue has become very frustating and I can't believe that our elected Representatives have chosen to present all of this inaccurate information regarding the sale of The County Home to the taxpayers. The County Homes total Quality of Care measures a total of ONE. THE COUNTY HOME HAS THE LOWEST RATING OF ALL THE CITED NURSING HOMES. Salaries and benefits at The Home have made it impossible to operate The Home at a profit. The greatest detriment to The Home operating at a profit is that they are not allowed by State Law to have different levels of care. The Home must be sold if it is to remain VIABLE.

I am an avowed and unapologetic Socialist. I believe in Collectivism. I believe in Government which follows a model of social justice. I make no apologies for my belief system. Now, if a guy like me is in favor of the sale what does that tell you? This is such a no brainer which transcends all political lines it raises a question. Why in the world is this not resolved yet? I have a hard time believing the union and remaining residents hold this kind of power. hmm

As a tax payer in Dunkirk I can not figure out why my School board and mayor are not urging our legislators to vote for the sale. We desperately need the tax revenue. The sale would stop the county property tax needed and as a bonus help reduce Dunkirk school tax and town property tax. Win win for county property owners.
