To the Readers’ Forum: I have questions. With the submission of the NYSAFE Act, I, like many gun owners have many questions....

Ignore him bear. His one trick pony on Christians and gays makes it obvious he's not here for the gun issue.

but of course you bring up a great case against the christian god [as least as depicted by christians], even though you didn't mean to.

Who would want to follow a god that allows and creates natural disasters that kill millions, rampant disease, poverty, starvation, etc...

Of course thats a nasty, bratty sky-daddy. But thats ok, christians don't use logic to believe in him, so I guess they don't need logic to defend him, lol.

thank you bad news, for showing us what is really means to be a 'christian'. Just call anyone who criticizes your religion 'intolerant' and then when your logic fails in arguing with them, just call them names lol.

Your sky-daddy has gotten you far. ;) And thanks for showing that so easily. I wonder what your sky-pappy would say about you calling others 'tools' in his defense lol.

Oops-a-daisy..

18, you are right...you've convinced me, there is no god. If there were, he never would have created a tool like you. Now, with that nonsense out of the way, does anyone have anything to offer regarding the fallacy that is gun control? I mean, that is the topic here, but what do I know......

Oh, nice try again. But you have no problem stereotyping and mocking liberals, just like liberals have no problem mocking you. Its just that this case is about your taboo sky-daddy, so you'd rather play the victim and demonize the mocker lol. Also, I know you have no proof. Because your idea that religious are nicer isn't true. In fact, if you find a person fighting against minority rights [such as homosexuals] odds are they are religious.

So, keep trying...

18, you can't read very well either. I didn't say there was proof, I made an observation based on the people I know personally. That's it. Unlike you, I don't feel the need to stereotype and mock a whole group of people. I can tell you are a wonderful human being.......

yeah, nice myth, badnews, however its not true lol. There is no difference in crime rate or other indicators of moral standards between the religious and non-religious. And the non-religious act good out of altruism, not because they want a sky-reward.

Keep trying. Your sky-gramps would be p.o.'ed.

18, you're barking up the wrong tree with me pal. I completely disagree with all of your leftist BS, yet I fall firmly outside the religious camp you seem so content to stereotype. I would, however, never criticize those with religious beliefs because, frankly, whether their beliefs are grounded in fact or faith, they are simply better people than those I know that are firmly entrenched on the opposite side, like you.

You know what I find cute: your sky grampa.

But both the right and the left criticize each other's views. Its just that when the right gets their religion [which has no evidence for it] criticized, they cry foul..they cry intolerence. Its taboo. They sky-daddy reigns...

You know what I find cute? The so-called "Tolerant Left" showing just how tolerant they really are of those who don'd agree with them. Somewhere there's some sort of old saying, something about a pot and a kettle.....

Aww, 50's how cute, your god is 'absolutely real'. Blind faith is fun eh? Personally, I accept that a god who would send most people to h.e.ll just for not believing in him is an atrocious monster. Sorry you're not insightful enough to see that. But good luck with your sky-daddy.

Absolutely real. Too bad you don't have one. And you describing my religion is as inept as your concept of guns.

I don't know how we switched to religion on this thread, but I think that the only thing not impressive is the christian's argument for their point, which is just basically "my god is real, and thats that"

And i'm sorry you don't find that idea that just because alot of people believe something doesn't make it true very impressive. Because its actually just a fact lol.

Wow, so you've resorted to a straw man. Thats common here. How was a defending muslims?lol, I was just showing you that because billions believe something doesn't make it true. Islam has the same evidence as christianity: none. And yes, I've made that statement to a muslim before in a debate, so your straw man just burned.

Next, actually there is estimated to be over 1.6 million muslims in the world, not 1.4. I rounded it to 2. And I wasn't going to be nitpicky about numbers, but since you did, so will I: Actually over 16% of the world identify as non-religious, not 11%.

Oh, the nitpicky game is fun. Yet, still no evidence for your sky-papa. Shame.

Point made 18. But not an impressive argument. And there are more like 1.4 billion muslims. Typical of your kind to choose to defend the muslims ..very telling. Ever try to give your opinion in an Islamic column? About their sky fairy I mean.

But just think. If something were true just because alot of folks believed it, the earth would have been flat a few hundred years ago. Man, it would have been fun to watch people walk off the edge eh?

Oops-a-daisy.

Oh, I wasn't aware we base what is reality on how many people believe it, lol. That might explain alot about you.

However, it probably takes the same amount of hubris the christians have when they tell the 2 million muslims on earth they are wrong, lol.

Or probably about like when scientists told the 99% of people on earth who believed the sun revolved around us that they were wrong.

Oops. Guess you need a new angle.

Actuall atheists and non-religious only comprise about 11% of the population of 7 billion, I was being kind.

It takes a lot of hubris to tell 3 billion people you are right and they are wrong. I'm surprised your not Canadian 18.
