"the bulk of the postal service red ink is due to a law Congress passed in 2006 forcing it to pre-pay future retiree health costs, something no other agency must do." Most people don't know that the PO has pre-funded future retiree health benefits SEVENTY FIVE YEARS in advance! People not even born yet have there health benefit money turned over to the government. The government can not give it back because IT IS GONE. They spent it, just like they did much of the social security money. That is why the post office is dying.

The solution is a no-brainer, just sell the Postal Service to private industry...just like what all you haters want to do with the County Home, right?

The USPS has stated that first class mail has fallen by 25%. They need 25% less carriers, sorters ,along with no Saturday delivery .They also pay insane wages of $25.00 per hour for these individuals. Let the Post Master General run this business without the interference of congress. The direction of the USPS needs to be corrected in a urgent manner
