continued - main thoroughfare, making it expedient for state police and Sheriff's to get from point A to point B by traveling through Lakewood. You may see these vehicles, but they are not answering calls here!!!! There is a large county out there they are covering!

Everyone is screaming to "consolidate government services", "merge government" and now they want to "un-consolidate" one of the first government mergers, that benefits residents of Busti and Lakewood. The truth is that it is not an 80/20 split in the costs. The fact is that the Busti portion allows for protection of it's citizens, more coverage, safety of both the officers and the citizens! If Busti opts out and the monies are gone, the village taxes will increase!

There are not enough State police or Sheriff's department personnel on at any one time to cover Busti. The troops have 2 cars on at night for the entire county. Sheriff's department runs fewer cars also. Unfortunately, Askwhy is a colossal jewel of an example of complete ignorance with a personal animus against law enforcement - perhaps from some previous "bad experience" -just saying, that his bent toward this misses the big picture. He doesn't know that we see more police go

Troche and Wordelman have VILLAGE residents best interest in mind and know it is unfair that village carry 80% of Police cost but only make up 1/5th of geography of Town of Busti, and less than half the population. The meger of Busti Police into Village Police and Resulting LBPD was a good old boy creation by Tony Caprino to protect his CSEA buddies in the Busti Police Department Jobs. The He gave Busti a sweetheart deal of a contract to give his bigger PD a larger turf to "patrol" (i.e. extort) with traffic fines that all go back to Busti Town Court and Town coffers. Anyone who dives though this area knws they will encounter JPD, ETP, CCSD, and NYST on the one loop. there is more than enough protection. They stumble over each other to respond to calls. Look how many showed when the JPD officer when loopy.

Lakewood republican people should go Tuesday January 29 at 7 o'clock upstairs at Village Hall to their caucus and vote TROCHE OUT!! BE THERE AND DO IT. Remember he got elected as a Democrat and so did Wordelman and then switched.

Ask why should stand up and remove his head. Lakewood Mayor says 3 months is not enough time to get a police contract; come on! STOP OVER-COMPLICATING EVERYTHING! Yesterday newspaper said Fairmount will have new zoning - lets drive more business away. I thought I just heard an earthquake but it was Tony Caprino rolling over in his grave over the mess Trochee and Wordelman are creating.

Fine Busti....just Lakewood know your intentions before Lakewood Village puts its budget together. Remember Lakewood residents vote for Busti politicians too. Lakewood/Busti residents are tired of carrying freeloading Busti residents. Payup, or call the Sheriff.
