I have no relative or friend at the home. I have never said, "Sell!" or "Don't sell!" My taxes will increase like everbody's if we continue to subsidize the Home, JCC, the Land Fill, Etc. but I feel our legislators have done the right thing by studying the situation and doing what is right for all concerned. What I find reprehensible is the name calling and harassment used by some bloggers to pressure our representatives to vote one way or another. Insulting those who give up so much time and energy to serve the people accomplishes nothing and is the reason very few will run for office.

Seadog if you're paying any attention to the north county opinions, they feel very different about the County Home than you do. You are not all that matters. If you can't afford your taxes maybe its you who needs to sell your home.

Selling the county home is a win/win for everyone, increased services that the county home can not now supply will be better for the patients, the additional property taxes from the new owner will help local schools to avoid lay offs, additional services means additional employees, the millions the home will be sold for will benefit every person in the county and the taxpayers wont have to fund the homes future losses.

Seadog you do realize that the residents of the County Home are people too. They all have the right to vote just like you. Also, there are legislators that represent them as well.
