"All legislators are to be commended on the effort they have put into doing what is right for the county home and its residents whether they vote yes or no"
I believe your post should read: doing what is right for the COUNTY and its residents whether they vote yes or no. They were NOT elected to do what is right for the County Home residents!

There you go again Sueanne with your campaign of misinformatiom: You write:
"Those who voted NO SALE in october: ahlstrom, cornell, coughlin, dejoe, heenan, hoyer, runkle, and whitney."
There was never a vote to sell in October. There was a vote to enter into contract negotiations with Rothner.

Sue anne said it best. HOYER and the the rest need to be voted out. They are costing the county 8K a day with their stall tactics. This is a bunch of knuckleheads who are in charge.

What's the problem sell the Home. The County doesnt need to be in the nursing home business. Find the best deal and sell it !

Save the home--no sale! Support those who voted to keep the home and vote the others out.

this has been a no brainer for well over a year... the home will be sold..hat is inevitable.. the sad thing is that it will take another election and some of the reprobate dems to be voted out thus attaining the needed 17 votes.. we now have 15....

Many people do not vote in our local election, this is just one very important issue that we can control. When your elected official votes against your wishes, vote them out. Your vote is huge because many won by just a few votes.
Those who voted NO SALE in october: ahlstrom, cornell, coughlin, dejoe, heenan, hoyer, runkle, and whitney.

"I know that outside, our constituents are getting a little antsy, telling us to 'sell, sell, sell, make a decision to sell.' At least, that's what I'm getting from my constituents. But, to do my due diligence, I would feel much more comfortable having the next voting session"
What??? Was Vicki James elected by her constituents to let Mayville hear THEIR voice?? Due diligence? Has she been sleeping thses past months? How much more time does she need? She needs to vote according to her constituents - not how Hoyer, the unions or Whitney tell her too. Grow some Vicki!

Save the county home by selling it, the new owner is able to expand services, add new jobs and provide the residents with more services. Selling the home will get it back on the tax roles helping the local schools to avoid layoffs. Plus savings the taxpayers millions of dollars. Who could be against selling?
The voters will have the final say in the next election when we exercise our right to choose who will be doing our business.

I think they do "have the guts'" to do what is right. It takes more guts to resist than not in this case. All legislators are to be commended on the effort they have put into doing what is right for the county home and its residents whether they vote yes or no. It is now time to decide and move on to bigger issues like welfare reform on the local level. There is much we can do on the local level on this issue and with economic development. We need jobs!
