I know this was posted some months ago, but I need to comment.

There are an estimated 50,000 people on Mediciaid in Chautauqua County, and THREE dentists that accept it for general dentistry (though other dentists to accept it for emergency procedures, such as tooth extractions). Two of these dentists are in Fredonia, with The Resource Center's Dental Clinic being the ONLY provider of dental care to those of us on Medicaid in the south county area.

This situation is even worse when it comes to eye care, with only TWO optometrists willing to accept Medicaid patients, and one of these will only do so if the patient is enrolled in an HMO program such as Univera PlusMed.

And it is even worse when it comes to specialties, such as pain management. There are NO pain management specialists in all of Chautauqua County who will accept Medicaid patients. NONE WHATSOEVER.

This is what everyone faces, should Obamacare reach its intended "single payer" goal. I already live it.
