Marion A. Swanson
Marion A. Swanson, Denver, Colo., long time resident of Jamestown, passed away Sunday, Sept. 28, in Hospice of St. John, Lakewood, Colo. She was born in Portland, N.Y., daughter of Fred and Thelma Perry Fredrickson. She was a graduate of Brocton Central School. She was a Children's Hospital Nursing School graduate and a World War II veteran serving as a U.S. Navy nurse. She worked as supervisor of Labor and Delivery (obstetrics) of the WCA Hospital for approximately 30 years prior to her retirement. Surviving are her son, Dan (Debra Jo) Burger of Missoula, Mt.; a daughter, Michele A. Burger of Denver, Colo.; a grandchild, Danielle A. Burger of Denver; and great-grandchild, Carly D. Meyers of Missoula. She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald L. Swanson, whom she married Nov. 23, 1973 and passed away June 2004. Burial will be in Ft. Logan Military Cemetery, Denver.
