Randolph Land Acquisition Hearing Scheduled
RANDOLPH — A public hearing will be held to discuss the acquisition of two parcels of property within the school district. Proposition One is for the purchase of land at 6 Main St. There are approximately 1.3 acres of real property the district is interested in purchasing to extend the front lawn at a cost of $55,000, plus closing costs. The purchase will be financed with funds from the Capital Reserve Fund. Proposition Two is for the purchase of land at 19 Main St. The three acres of property would be used to develop a bus garage and storage facility. The cost of the property is $45,000 plus closing costs. The funds will be drawn from the Capital Reserve Fund. The hearing will be held at 6 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 15, in the Randolph High School auditorium. Board members will answer questions from residents in regards to an upcoming vote, scheduled from 2 to 8 p.m., Oct. 22, in the high school auditorium.
