Jammers Fall At Tri-City, 9-2

TROY — The Jamestown Jammers (11-5) are off to their best start in their seven years with the Florida Marlins but Friday night was one of their poorest performances of the early New York-Penn League season. Tri-City used a couple of three-run innings against the Jammers en route to a 9-2 victory in the Pinckney Division to gain just their second home win in nine games. For the Jammers, it was the end of a four-game winning streak. They will try to rebound with a victory tonight at Lowell. Leading 2-1 going into the fifth inning, Tri-City took charge with a three-run outburst with two outs. Tom Koehler (0-1) gave up singles to Marques Williams, Michael Diaz and Phil Disher to fill the bases and force manager Darin Everson to call on reliever Matt Vieira. Vieira struck out his first batter, Jonathan Gaston, for the second out, Thomas Steele hit a two-run single and David Flores an RBI single for a 5-2 edge. Tri-County added three more runs in the seventh against Kendrick Martin. St
