Jayhawks Notch Overtime Soccer Victory
The Jamestown Community College men’s soccer team (4-13-1) picked up its fourth win of the season by defeating Southern State CC, 2-1, in overtime on Sunday. The host Jayhawks opened the scoring when Adam Mead, on an assist by Andy Lindberg, scored a goal about 25 minutes into first half. Fifteen minutes into the second half, Kevin Ache tied the game with a goal for Southern State. Eight minutes into overtime, Lindberg scored the winning goal and Ryan Card picked up the assist. JCC goaltender Peter Peterson made 14 saves. The Jayhawks are 1-0-1 in overtime games. JCC plays its final game of the season on Wednesday at Alfred State College.
