National Marrow Donor Program Registry Drive October 11, 2008
National Marrow Donor Program Registry Drive, Gowanda Harley-Davidson, Gowanda, 2535 Gowanda Zoar Rd.
Join the marrow donor registry and give hope to patients everywhere.
9:00am - 11:00am. The National Marrow Donor Program (NMDP) exists to save lives. Every year, more than 10,000 people who don't have a family donor get diseases only a marrow or cord blood transplant can cure. But the sad fact is only three out of 10 patients receive the transplant that can save their life. Together, we can change that. Every single patient deserves a second chance at life.
In 2006, Tony Reid, Retired Service Manager and Co-Owner of Gowanda Harley-Davidson was diagnosed with a rare lymphoma. Currently it is under control with medication, but eventually he may rely on the National Marrow Donor Registry and a bone marrow transplant for a cure. Help Tony and others just like him, by joining the National Marrow Donor Registry.
Cost: FREE Tissue Typing and Registry for First 200 People. ($25 per person thereafter) . More information at: 888-298-6571.
