Now that we have new Mac minis, Mac Pros, and four new iMacs, it may surprise you that Apple still has some new products coming out soon.
Later this month, Apple is rumored to be holding an iPod event. The last few years, Apple has held an event, usually in September, to show off new iPods. If this rumor is true then Apple is holding this event a little earlier than usual, which could be good or bad.
It is quite likely that, on the good side, there is something totally new coming in the mobile arena from Apple. It is likely that there will be an updated iPod Touch that will match the look, and hopefully the speed, of the latest iPhone. This time around, a new Touch should have some sort of camera in it. Whether it's one or two is anyone's guess. Two cameras would put it on par with the iPhone 4 and allow for photos, video, and FaceTime video calls.
Another possible appearance could be iOS 4 for the iPad. This updated operating system that made its appearance on the new iPhone 4 and was scheduled to be released as an iPad update later in the fall.
There is a wild rumor that a smaller iPad is in the works. While a new iPod Touch would have the same screen as the iPhone 4, 3.5-inches, this rumored iPad 'nano' would likely have a 5 or 7-inch touch screen. I'm not holding my breath on this one though.
Of course we are well overdo for some new software from Apple. Yes they have been very busy with iOS and mobile products, but where is the latest iLife, iWorks, Final Cut Express, or even any news about OS X 10.7?
Guess we'll just have to keep watching and waiting to see what's next from Apple. I don't think we'll have long to wait.
