These are the programs that run on the iPad that greatly expand its versatility. These Apps are priced anywhere from FREE to hundreds of dollars. Don’t worry, the vast majority of ‘paid’ Apps fall in the under $10 price tag. Here is a list of FREE and PAID Apps that are top rated or on the top of the download charts. FREE: NETFLIX ABC PLAYER THE WEATHER CHANNEL MAX YAHOO! Just like the iPhone and iPod Touch, the only way to get an App on your Apple device is to buy it from Apple. This is a blessing and a curse, since you are at the mercy of Apple to approve an App that you like. On the PRO side, these Apps are scrutinized to be exactly what they are supposed to be and work without compromising security or stability of your iPhone, Touch, or iPad. Run iTunes, you will need version 9.1 or better, and go to the App store. Look at the top Apps here or do a search for the ones in the above lists. You can also do this right from the iPad. Just be careful, even at a dollar an App, they can add up real quick.
