Mountain Lion Available July 25th

July 24, 2012 - Dave Hecei
It is now confirmed, as predicted, Apple will release the next version of their Mac OS starting tomorrow. During the Q3 2012 Financial announcements, current Apple CEO Tim Cook made it official.

Most of the Mac and other tech web sites were in agreement that Apple would make such an announcement. The same thing happened with Lion, Mac OS X 10.7, about this time last year. And just like Lion, the new Mountain Lion will be available as a download from the Mac App Store. It is priced at only $19.99.

It is not known at what time the new OS X will be available, most likely everyone in the U.S. should be able to purchase it by 8 a.m.

Please note that I normally recommend that you not install a major OS update right away. The best thing to do is to wait at least a week, to allow any hidden features, us users call them 'bugs', to come to light.
