Sale of the Century

The new iPad launched this morning and the crowds went wild. Around the world, in several countries, the new iPad was selling very fast. Here in the states, the lines were long in some areas, but others were managable.

According to Apple, all pre-orders have been sold. If you ordered one today it will be 2 to 3 weeks before they ship. Those who waited in line got their iPad. Those who think they will be able to hit the store this weekend might be in for disappointment.

The good news is that there are several other retailers to check. If you want a 4G iPad then you can always check out your local Verizon or AT&T stores - just depends on the carrier you prefer. Walmart, J&R, and Best Buy stores have some stock along with some online retailers like Mac Mall and CDW.

After Monday, I doubt you will easily find a new iPad anywhere. Of course you could alway get one on Ebay for $2000.
