RV Destroyed In Fire
No One Injured, Cause Unknown In West Ellicott Blaze
WEST ELLICOTT — A recreational vehicle was destroyed by fire Tuesday. Smoke from the massive blaze behind Monro Auto Service at 1010 Fairmount Ave. could be seen from Jamestown, and was reported around 1:30 p.m.
The RV, which reportedly belonged to the store manager, just had its brakes repaired prior to the fire. The RV was parked behind the business when flames broke out.
Celoron and Lakewood volunteer firefighters helped douse the blaze. An assistant fire chief with Celoron said it was too soon to determine the cause of the blaze; county fire investigators were summoned to the scene Tuesday.
No injuries were reported. Crews were on scene for a little over an hour and a half.
