Three Charged After Crystal Meth, Children Found In Bust

Three city residents were being held pending arraignment after crystal methamphetamine were discovered inside a residence along with two children during the execution of a search warrant Wednesday.

Members of the Jamestown Metro Drug Task Force and State Police Community Narcotics Enforcement Team entered 510 W. Sixth St. around 6 a.m. after an investigation into the illegal sales and trafficking of drugs and criminal activity.

While inside, police found crystal methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia. Investigators also found two children, ages 3 and 10, who lived at the city residence.

James C. Blue, 27; Lakeia R. Boyd 31; and Sheldon H. Harper, 23, were charged with felony criminal possession of a controlled substance and criminal use of drug paraphernalia. Boyd also was charged with two counts of endangering the welfare of a child as she is the mother of the two children.
