More Friends Recall Memories Of Shari Robbins

Friends and co-workers of Shari Robbins, top right, recall memories they shared together.
Shari Robbins impacted the lives of many, evident from the many friends and coworkers who have come forward to share memories.
Robbins, 36, died Thursday in a reported domestic violence-related incident. Co-workers and friends shared stories about their beloved friend with The Post-Journal in the days following her death.
Cassie Pike, former co-worker and friend, said she got to know Robbins very well over the years at Heritage Ministries.
“We worked at the green with a group of five other girls, and we called ourselves the weekend warriors,” Pike said. “We would sing and dance, and she had this laughter that just cheered you up no matter how bad a day it was.”
She said Robbins was like the Tazmanian Devil cartoon in that she never stopped. Pike said her friend began her day at 5 a.m. and continued on throughout the day.
“I’d always say ‘Slow down, I’m trying to keep up – my legs are short and your legs are long,'” she said. “I’d spend time with her family and her kids adored her. her kids were her whole world.”
One thing Robbins was never without was her Tim Hortons, Pike added. She would bring in two, handing Pike a cup and telling her she would need it throughout the day.
“She never hesitated to help someone in need,” she said. “She was a great friend and I miss her dearly. Words can’t express the heavy heart (I have.)”
A “GoFundMe” account has been established by Heritage Ministries to help Robbins’ children and family members with finances and can be found at www.gofundme.com/sharirobbinsfundraiser. The campaign has currently raised a little over half of its goal.
