SILVER CREEK — A “series of incidents” that reportedly took place between May and July resulted in a third-degree rape charge for a Silver Creek man.

The Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office on Monday announced the charge for 32-year-old Cornelius L. Brown. The Chautauqua County Criminal Investigation Division has been investigating the incidents, though no specifics were noted in a news release.

Brown turned himself in on the charge and was later arraigned. He was remanded to the Chautauqua County Jail on $1,000 bail.
