3:25 PM: Jamestown Woman In Serious Condition After Route 5 Crash

SHERIDAN — A Jamestown woman reportedly is in serious condition after the car she was in veered off Route 5 in Sheridan and into a tree Wednesday.
New York State Police said Patricia A. Bova, 49, was eastbound on Route 5 when for an unknown reason her 2008 Pontiac Grand Prix drifted across the road, into a yard and struck a tree near Herrington Road.
Bova was airlifted to UPMC Hamot in Erie, Pa., Capt. Eric Balon of the state police told reporters Wednesday.
The Jamestown woman may have suffered a medical condition prior to the crash, Balon said.
No further information was immediately available.
